uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o inflamat\u00f3ria intestinal cr\u00f4nica que pode afetar qualquer parte do trato digestivo, desde a boca at\u00e9 o \u00e2nus. Com o aumento de casos detectados nos \u00faltimos anos, \u00e9 importante entender as causas, sintomas e tratamentos dessa condi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>O estudo \u201cTend\u00eancias temporais na epidemiologia das doen\u00e7as inflamat\u00f3rias intestinais no sistema p\u00fablico de sa\u00fade no Brasil\u201d, publicado na revista The Lancet Regional Health Americas, aponta que a doen\u00e7a de Crohn cresce 12% ao ano no Brasil, com maior frequ\u00eancia nas regi\u00f5es Sul e Sudeste.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Essa doen\u00e7a autoimune causa inflama\u00e7\u00e3o nas paredes do intestino, resultando em uma s\u00e9rie de sintomas que podem variar em intensidade. Embora a causa exata da Doen\u00e7a de Crohn n\u00e3o seja completamente compreendida, fatores gen\u00e9ticos, ambientais e imunol\u00f3gicos s\u00e3o tidos como componentes que influenciam seu desenvolvimento.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Pesquisas sugerem um maior risco de desenvolvimento da doen\u00e7a de Crohn em pessoas que consomem bastante alimentos industrializados, ricos em conservantes, corantes, aditivos, gordura hidrogenada e carboidratos simples.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Segundo a ABCD (Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Brasileira de Colite Ulcerativa e Doen\u00e7a de Crohn), a enfermidade recebe esse nome porque Burril B. Crohn foi o primeiro nome de um artigo de tr\u00eas autores, publicado em 1932, que descreveu a doen\u00e7a.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>No passado, dependendo da regi\u00e3o afetada, essa doen\u00e7a era chamada de ileite, enterite regional ou colite. Para reduzir a confus\u00e3o, o termo Doen\u00e7a de Crohn foi usado para identific\u00e1-la, qualquer que seja a regi\u00e3o do corpo afetada (\u00edleo, c\u00f3lon, reto, \u00e2nus, est\u00f4mago, duodeno, etc).<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Sintomas comuns da Doen\u00e7a de Crohn<\/strong><\/h4><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Pessoas com a doen\u00e7a podem apresentar sinais como:<\/p><p>&#8211; Dor abdominal e c\u00f3licas;<\/p><p>&#8211; Diarreia frequente, que pode ser acompanhada de sangue;<\/p><p>&#8211; Inflama\u00e7\u00e3o nas articula\u00e7\u00f5es;<\/p><p>&#8211; Problemas na pele;<\/p><p>&#8211; Perda de peso repentina;<\/p><p>&#8211; Febre;<\/p><p>&#8211; Fadiga extrema.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h4><strong>Diagn\u00f3stico e tratamento<\/strong><\/h4><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>O diagn\u00f3stico da Doen\u00e7a de Crohn geralmente envolve uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de exames cl\u00ednicos e de imagem, como endoscopia, colonoscopia, exames de sangue (hemograma, velocidade de hemossedimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, dosagem de prote\u00edna C-reativa, calprotectina fecal, dosagem de ferro e dosagem de vitamina B12) e de imagem, como tomografia computadorizada e resson\u00e2ncia magn\u00e9tica.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Embora n\u00e3o haja cura para a Doen\u00e7a de Crohn, existem boas op\u00e7\u00f5es de tratamento para controlar os sintomas. Medicamentos como anti-inflamat\u00f3rios, imunossupressores e antibi\u00f3ticos podem ser prescritos para reduzir a inflama\u00e7\u00e3o e tratar infec\u00e7\u00f5es. Em casos mais graves, pode ser necess\u00e1rio realizar procedimentos cir\u00fargicos para remover partes comprometidas do intestino.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>De toda forma, uma alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o balanceada e um estilo de vida mais saud\u00e1vel podem ajudar a minimizar os desconfortos.
